From Dec. 06, ’09: It’s Almost Over

I can’t believe it’s already December. Where the hell did the year go? D: While this semester wasn’t nearly as hard as my last one, it was still pretty laborious. Participated in three very successful shows, Mattie Rhodes, our Printmaking “Print Magic” show in the West Bottoms, and the KCAI final exhibition. I made my very first sale at the KCAI show on Friday night. 😀 😀 😀 It was a very big print, 33in x 40in, and I priced it at $150 and it sold. I’m very happy about this. :3 Anyhoo, here’s the link for anyone interested in seeing pictures. It’s the greenish and reddish one with the big sparrow.

So my brother came up to see the show Friday and he brought Mom with him. I was so surprised! Originally she wasn’t going to be able to make it, which made me really disappointed and sad, so when I saw her in the car with Mike I squealed with delight and jumped up and down. It made me very happy. Jonas also drove up to see the show, so everyone I loved the most was there. I was very excited the whole night. So thank you for coming, guys. It really meant a lot to me.

So as the year draws to a close I feel all thoughtful and stuff… sounds deep, right? It’s not. Or maybe it is. I don’t really know. December always makes me feel really weird.
